Areas of Expertise

The editors at J&L Scientific Editing will edit, polish, and rewrite any type of document in any scientific field. Editors are Ph.D. scientists with considerable experience in writing and editing manuscripts submitted for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Each has written grant proposals and reviewed journal articles and grant proposals.

Each editor has particular areas of expertise.

J. Wyatt (click for Curriculum Vitae) has extensive experience in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and chemistry, both as a scientist and as a writer and editor. Her background includes eight years in the biotechnology industry, most as a group leader, with experience in nucleic acid structure and function, bioinformatics, and high-throughput assay development. She serves as a consultant to several nucleic acid-based drug discovery companies. 

L. Lauerman (click for Curriculum Vitae) has extensive experience in the fields of biological sciences, marine science, and oceanography, both as a scientist and as a writer and editor. She also has written and edited scientific articles intended for a lay audience (e.g. newspapers and publishing companies).
