Rates

Hourly rate for industry clients is $100. Academic rate is $75 per hour. We offer a special dissertation rate of $35 per hour. Per project rates are offered for Wyoming SBIR/STTR grant proposals. Contact jwyatt@JL-SciEdit.com for more information.

We offer a free trial. Send 200-250 words to freetrial@JL-SciEdit.com. A new version of the text with suggestions for improvement will be returned to you by e-mail. Estimates can be provided after review of the entire document. An average manuscript of ~2000 words can usually be edited in 1 hour. 

Turn-around time depends on the document, but documents are usually returned in 48 hours or less. For less than 24-hour turn-around, the hourly rate is $150 ($100 for academic clients).

Our rates reflect our scientific expertise. We read critically for scientific content while we edit. Essentially, we provide a first-round peer review of your manuscript.

Billing

We bill by sending an invoice to the client via U.S. mail or e-mail. Checks should be written directly to the editor who will pay all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. If the total annual payment exceeds $600, the client must provide a 1099-Misc tax form.
